US VP holds unusual bilateral meeting with S. Korean President

US Vice President Kamala Harris met with Korean President Moon Jae-in, without the participation of President Biden. Harris said that "challenges that exist on the Korean peninsula" would be at the top of the list.

They also discussed North Korea, global health, and how we can address the root causes of migration from the Northern Triangle. We look forward to working with President Moon to address the challenges we face.

The two appeared together to make a statement. Harris has sparked a huge backlash after wiping her hand on her pants immediately after shaking hands with the South Korean President, Moon Jae-in.
