Iris; a flower means "Rainbow", a flower which has a melancholic story behind it. So let's learn what Iris is and what its beloved story is!
The Deep Meaning:
The iris is known as a rainbow in Greek because of the variety of colors it has. The flower is believed to come from heaven and is known to be a bridge between life and death. The reason why the flower is called iris is that it is likened to the pupil, that is, the iris, because of the colors it has.
Features of Iris Flower:

The iris flower is best known in nature for its blue color. In addition, colors such as yellow, blue, purple, and orange are also encountered. It is one of the most used flowers in the perfume industry due to its unique scent. The flower, which has more than 200 species, is very popular in the world of flowers because it can preserve its form and flowers for a long time...
How is Iris Produced?
The iris flower is very difficult to grow from seed. It takes a lot of time and there is no certainty in production. The most used production method is structured through tubers. During the 6-month period from September to March, the tubers should be removed as two leaves as one root and buried in the plant-soil mixed with compost at a depth of at least 8 cm. And with that, the plant will reach its flowers in February. The price of the plant varies, but they are not too expensive.

Iris Flower Care:👩🏻🌾
It grows easily in any good and lightly structured garden soil with very little light. Still, it likes direct sunlight.
It is a type of flower resistant to all kinds of heat. However, it is very important that the environment in which the flower takes place is not below 12 stages in winter.
It should not be neglected to give liquid fertilizer for flowering plants regularly.
In summer, the water requirement of the flower increases. At the same time, the irrigation measure should be doubled.
Watering should be done in the morning, as with other indoor plants. The reason for this is to allow the water to dry out. Otherwise, mold may occur on the roots of the plant.

The Story Behind:
The iris flower story has a mythological story. The goddess of iris, a descendant of Oceanus, is given the task by Zeus. Since Iris means rainbow, the god Zeus asks the goddess Iris to carry news in order to unite the earth and the sky. He used to pass through the rainbow in Iris and convey the news to the earth. The goddess of iris always carried happy news and watched how that news create lovely smiles on human faces. The story of the iris flower is not limited to mythology. Iris in Latin means eye of heaven. The color and lines of the iris flower bear this name because of its resemblance to the human pupil. It is believed that all people have pupils, carrying a piece of heaven.
