We left behind the toughest year that the century we are in. 2020 became a year like threatening human lives and no one can not memorialize with happiness. Beyond doubt, all disasters shake up the motion picture industry. Cinemas were closed for months, the vision calendar emptied, and the Cannes Film Festival -one of the most important events of the industry- could not be implemented. On the other hand, many films met with the audience on digital platforms, festivals turned to online staging. However, when we look back we can see that there are many films left that will make a name for us in the coming year. The Safdie Brothers' films, Uncut Gems, which were introduced to Netflix in January 2020 in our country, Berlin Film Festival films Never Rarely Sometimes Always, Rizi, Undine and Nomadland by Chloé Zhao, which conquered festivals such as Toronto, Venice It was among the films that marked the year. To terminate the discussions every year experienced “this film is not the film of this year”, we started in the past year by taking this criterion our focus “in the year of the film to be made will premiere in Turkey”, created our selection 2020’ best films. In 2020, entering the vision in our country, the movies shown in festivals take place online or in physical conditions in Turkey, we kept under consideration production shown on platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime, iTunes, BlueTV. After voting 14 film writers in which the personal movie lists served as ballots, the top 20 movies were listed.
